Who are we?

Radio Ikhlas was set up back in 2001 as a local community Radio Station by the Ikhlas Foundation. It started by broadcasting only in the month of Ramadan. Since 2005 it has become a full time Radio Station broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every month. Radio Ikhlas currently has over 190 volunteers, out of which 80 are active volunteers. The volunteers consist of Radio Presenters, Backup managers, team leaders and project workers.

The Radio Station has become a very big and successful project in the city of Derby. It has been broadcasting to over 15,000 homes, and that number is increasing everyday. The Radio Station has programs for every one of all ages, all cultures and all backgrounds. Also many different styles of Islamic audio tracks are played on the radio station such as Naats, Hamds, Nasheeds, Qawwalis and Pothwari Shers.

Radio Ikhlas is currently broadcasting throughout Derbyshire on 107.8fm, and world wide on our website www.RadioIkhlas.com > Listen In.
